*This is a true story from the Benerbau Fiting Room in Madrid!!!** *
A few years ago, Luis Figo was given some Basic English
conversation training before he introduce himself and meets newly signing,David Beckham...
The instructor told Figo "Figo, when you shake hand with
Beckham, please say 'How are you'."
Then Beckham should say, 'I am fine, and you?' Now, you should say 'Me
too'. Afterwards we, translators, will do the work for you.'
It looks quite simple, but the truth is....
When Figo met Beckham , he mistakenly said 'Who are you?' (Instead of 'How are
you?'.)
Beckham was a bit shocked but still managed to react with humor:
'Well, I'm Victoria's husband, ha-ha...'
Then Figo replied 'Me too, ha-ha... .'.
Then there was a long silence in the Fitting Room!!!!!!*
