Automated Trading Championship 2008


MetaQuotes Software Corp., Forex Capital Markets LLC (FXCM), Interbank FX LLC, FXDD and TRADERS’ journal start the third annual Automated Trading Championship 2008. The best three developers of automated trading systems will be spotted within three months. Estimation criterion is the absolute profit. The winners will share the Automated Trading Championship 2008 Prize of totally 80 000 US dollars!

The Championship starts on the 1st of October and will last till the 26th of December 2008. The main goal of its conduct is the popularization of the automated trading and the programming language MetaQuotes Language 4 (MQL4).

Like in 2006 and in 2007, during this competition hundreds of Expert Advisors will strive with each other. You can see, how different trading systems behave in real market conditions, which of these trading strategies and tactics are efficient and which are not.

All through the Championship this site will present the detailed information about trade operations of each Participant. In the News section we will continuously publish articles, reports and interviews with Expert Advisors developers. All this material will contribute to better understanding, which features and characteristics are peculiar to successful Expert Advisors.

I. General Provisions

1. The Championship is organized by MetaQuotes Software Corp.
2. The Championship is sponsored by:
* Major Sponsor - FXCM (Forex Capital Markets LLC)
* Golden Sponsor - Interbank FX LLC
* Silver Sponsor - FXDD
* Media Sponsor - TRADERS'
3. The Championship starts on the 1st of October 2008 and finishes on the 26th of December 2008.
4. Registration starts on the 1st of July 2008 and finishes on the 19th of September 2008.
5. Prizes of totally $80 000 are distributed among:
* First Place - $40 000
* Second Place - $25 000
* Third Place - $15 000
6. The Organizer provides server equipment on which the Participants' Expert Advisors will continuously work throughout the Championship.
7. All Participant operations will only be performed with virtual money.
8. Participation in the Championship is free.
