Turn Some Heads with the “Shatters” Art Director Edition EVO X
The Mitsubishi Lancer EVO X features a gritty and abstract “Shattered” livery design and “Prussian Blue” LED neon upgrade with matching pearl blue window tint. Add to that an aftermarket body kit with spoiler, exclusive “Shatter” license plate and painted 21” KONIG wheels and you got yourself one eye-catching car!
It was available for a very limited time before it retired; today we are very happy to see it return to Need for speed World!
A couple years ago Need for Speed was given the rare opportunity to work with the late-great Caroll Shelby to build a truly unique muscle car. The result of this joint venture was the Need for Speed Shelby Terlingua Ford Mustang!
They started off with a 2006 Ford Mustang and its disappointing V6 that Motor Trend once famously quipped ‘belongs at the end of an anchor’. They gave it some more guts and power by dropping a Paxton supercharger into it. Once they had the power in place they then added independent MacPherson struts in the front and three-link coil spring Panhard rod suspension in the rear, as well as adding a NOVI-1200 compressor with an air and water change cooler to the engine.
They then added the Need for Speed edition livery by blacking it out, giving it a wider stance and dropping some nice lines along the body. In the end we ended up with a 375-horse beast that is just waiting for you to put into action!
The real life Terlingua was auctioned off for charity a while ago now but you can buy it now from the in-game car dealer!

The Nissan 370Z (Z34) has been in retirement just about a month but now it’s back and better than ever! While it was in its retirement it underwent major re-tune to make it faster, more maneuverable car.
It is powered by a VQ37VHR 3.7 L DOHC V6 that produces 332 horse power; more than enough to get this nimble car going fast enough to smile at your friends in the rearview. When Nissan designed the 370Z they made it 2.7 inches shorter and reduced the width by 1.3 inches (2.2 at the rear) than the 350Z. They also used more lightweight materials to further reduce its weight
If you never got a chance to drive the 370Z before you should definitely drive it now!
Next week is Need for Speed World's second birthday and we're going to celebrate big time!
We got a whole week of celebrations lined up starting Monday, July 23rd! During the entire week (over the weekend too) we're going to have give-aways every day, community events, community contests and challenges, a special two-year anniversary blog series, a community gaming session, and much more!
We're also going to introduce a new feature to the game on Tuesday, July 24th! If that isn't enough we have a couple of presents lined up for the NFS World community and a special anniversary edition Live Chat so you can find out what the future holds for the game.
One more thing...best to look us up this Friday too because more hints about the two-year anniversary celebration are coming!
