Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has confirmed he is keen to sign Lille star Eden Hazard, but says it will be 'difficult' to persuade him to come to the club with Manchester United and Manchester City also looking at him.
Hazard, 21, has attracted a lot of attention for his performances with the French champions, and Redknapp has been watching him closely, along with two other French-based players. The Spurs boss, though, thinks it will be tough to get the Belgian winger to join.
"Our chairman is willing to pay for an exceptional talent, like Eden Hazard," he is quoted as saying by L'Equipe. "I have seen him several times recently, in Marseille [in January] and then also against PSG in the final of the Coupe de France [last May].
"But I also know that Manchester United are looking at him and also Manchester City. It will be difficult to get him, but I like him a lot."
Redknapp has followed Marseille striker Loic Remy and revealed that Montpellier striker Olivier Giroud, who has been in impressive form this season, has also come onto his radar.
"He [Giroud] looks good, I have read many good reports on him and I have a scout following the French championship," he said. "If a player attracts my attention I will watch him play."
"When you start supporting a football club, you don't support it because of the trophies, or a player or history. You support it because you found yourself somewhere there, you found a place where you completely belong" -- Dennis Bergkamp
