The record holder for mileage during the competition was a Nissan Grand Livina 1.8 automatic which only used 3.19 liters for the 180.5km journey from Holiday Inn Glenmarie Shah Alam to Impiana Casuarina Hotel Ipoh! That’s 56.5831 km per liter! The second highest mileage was a Latio 1.8 automatic which used 4.787 liters, or 37.7063 km per liter.

aku ada terbaca satu website... kalau dikira cuma guna rm 7.30 je utk perjalanan dari kl ke ipoh. biar betul.:-?

ada sesiapa yg pakai livina tak kat sini. tlg komen...

Yeap, actually that is impossible. Maybe highway, 50km/h, no air-cond, etc.. maybe, maybe... can achieve but let face it, saper bawak kereta mcm tu. But need to understand, when Honda doing their Fuel Efficiency Test, they will ask 3rd Party such as AAM to participate in determine the test but not Nissan.

synapse73
27-10-2008, 08:52 PM
The following were the conditions of the test:

1. Highway driving environment
2. Highway speed limit adherence (60km/h to 110km/h)
3. Full tank fuelling
4. Single driver with no change allowed
5. A/C on
6. All windows up
7. Air intake, fuel inlets and fuel tank flaps inspected by AAM officials and sealed by same.
8. Full service & inspection consisting of engine and transmission oil changes done prior to test in accordance with standard factory specifications and procedures.
9. Factory-recommended tyre pressure setting

The AAM was invited to be the independent observer of the test and officials followed the car throughout the test and examined all data obtained, and officially endorsed the results.

Cara-cara macam mana dapat FC masa contest tu.

More weight = More momentum. Best for rolling without gear engaged!

To the rest,
The rules for Lightfoot were quite relax actually. We are allowed to:
- OFF a/c
- use FREE Gear when down hill
- Refuel MAXIMUM (if you know how) to top of the brim
- close the Side mirrors
- no limit on Tyre pressure
- no limit on Engine Oil
- if you wanna use Additive also can (just cannot use DEVICEs)
- follow a big vehicle to reduce wind resistance (impossible)
- PUSH your own vehicle

so kalau buat tu semua mungkin boleh. ni sebab CONTEST. Kita tak akan buat untuk perjalanan hari-hari.

Nissan Grand Livina Achieves 56.58 kilometres per Litre in Lightfoot Quest
Monday, August 04, 2008 By YS Khong

Ipoh, 4 August 2008 – A Nissan Grand Livina driven by accountant Liew Kok Seng and Ms Julie Tan achieved an incredible 56.58 kilometres per litre in the Nissan Lightfoot Quest organized by Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn Bhd, yesterday.

The Nissan Lightfoot Quest 2008 is a fuel economy contest open to all Nissan Latio, Grand Livina and Sylphy owners. Speaking at the prize presentation ceremony held immediately after the event in Ipoh, Edaran Tan Chong Motor Executive Director, Dato’ Dr. Ang Bon Beng said, “With the recent increases in the petrol price, fuel consumption has become one of the major concerns of motorists. As one of the major automotive companies in Malaysia, Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn Bhd believes that it is important to inculcate good driving habits and to share valuable information with its customers and the general public alike, on how to save fuel through ‘economy’ driving techniques.”

“With the above mission in mind, Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn Bhd organized the Nissan Lightfoot Quest 2008, which is essentially a contest for Nissan customers and their friends to realize the full potential of Nissan vehicles, in particular the Nissan Sylphy, the Nissan Latio and the Nissan Grand Livina,” added Dato’ Dr, Ang.

40 Nissan owners, either with their family members or friends came from as far north as Penang, and as far south as Johore Baru to take part in the event, which started on 2nd August 2008 at the Nissan Express Auto Service Centre in Temasya Industrial estate, where the participants cars had to undergo strict scrutiny for safety and roadworthiness. In addition, a special team of technicians were deployed to seal off all possible access points through which access to the fuel lines or fuel tank can be gained. Said a spokesman for the company, “We know that generally, all of our customers are honest and sporting people, but we just want to reassure everybody that what we do is clean and above board. The Nissan vehicles are already very economical in everyday use, but since this is a contest, many of our customers will be trying very hard, and we want to assure everybody that the numbers we achieve are real.”

After all the fuel lines were sealed, the cars moved over to the Holiday Inn Glenmarie for a final check. Then the competitors were allowed to ‘top up’ their fuel tanks one last time before the fuel lid and the bonnet were also sealed. Then, at 5.00 pm, just before the official competitors’ briefing by the ‘Clerk of course’, the 40 participating cars were impounded under ‘parc ferme’ rules, i.e. the cars were placed in a secure area under constant watch and no one is allowed access to the cars until about half an hour before the actual event on Sunday, 3rd August. At the briefing on the eve of the event, all participants were given some ‘tips’ on light-footed driving and fuel saving techniques. Most of the participants, when interviewed, agreed that many of the tips given can be applied to every day driving.

The Nissan Lightfoot Quest started early Sunday morning, and the route covered a total of 180.5 kilometres from the Holiday Inn Glenmarie, and ended in the Petronas Station just a kilometre north of Gopeng town, Perak. All competing cars were given a time of three and a half hours to complete the 180.5 km course. At the Petronas station, all cars were carefully refueled by a team of experienced marshals, and the fuel consumption was computed.

Two stewards from the National Union of Journalists were on hand on both days to ensure that all the necessary steps as stipulated in the regulations were carried out, with particular attention given to verifying that all the seals were in place prior to the start, and at the end of the event. The stewards also personally witnessed the refueling process and verified the fuel consumed by each and every competitor.

Apa lak nak musykil, betul le tuh pegi ipoh dr kl cuma isi minyak RM7.40
Aku punya 1.8A NGL, kalu full tank bleh dpt dlm 480++km (town) & 520++ km(highway) je.
Kalu le betul apa yg diaorg cakap tu, rasanya lepas ni byk le NGL jadik teksi.
Takyah nak susah2 beratur panjang2 isi NG lagi.
