Andrea Dossena expected to join Liverpool
Andrea Dossena is expected to join Liverpool this week, as the English club close in on an £8million deal for the Italian defender.
Boss Rafa Benitez wants to make the left-back, 26, his second capture of what he warns will be a busy summer.
Negotiations are at an advanced stage, with Liverpool so far offering £7m. The Italian's club, Udinese, are holding out for £8m but director of football Pietro Leonardi confirmed talks will resume this week.
He said: "We will continue to talkwith Liverpool this week, but so far nothing has been done."

Rafa Benitez is pondering a shock £1million move for highly-rated Bristol City defender Liam Fontaine.
